Workplace Violence

“Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers, and visitors. Acts of violence and other injuries are currently the third-leading cause of fatal occupational injuries in the United States”. OSHA

An employer has a legal duty to provide a safe workplace for employees, free from recognized hazards that cause or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.

Bureau of Labor Statistics: In 2020, there were 392 workplace homicides, and 37,060 employees sustained nonfatal injuries in the workplace resulting from intentional injury by another person. â€‹

Type 2: Customer/Client-Patient
Type 3: Worker-to-Worker
Type 4: Intimate Partner
Type 5: Ideological Violence

Owner Mark Lang has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement, hospital security, and private investigations. He holds the two highest certifications in the security profession- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA). 

Lang earned a Master's in Criminal Justice from Boston University and is a retired law enforcement Special Investigations Captain—Past Senior Director of Security Operations for Orlando Health.
