Mark Lang is a nationally recognized consultant in negligent security, premises liability, and law enforcement standards and procedures. With more than four decades of combined experience in law enforcement, corporate security administration, and private investigations, he provides expert consultation and testimony in cases involving alleged security negligence, use of force, and law enforcement operational practices. His expertise is grounded in both executive leadership and real-world application, allowing him to provide credible, fact-based analysis for complex litigation matters across the United States.

Before establishing his consulting practice, Mr. Lang retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as a decorated Special Investigations Division Captain and later served as the first Executive Senior Director of Security Operations for Orlando Health. He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University and is Board-Certified in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and in Healthcare Security as a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), the two highest credentials in the security profession.

Mr. Lang’s extensive background includes developing and evaluating security policies, workplace violence prevention programs, and law enforcement protocols. His insights have been published in the Journal of Healthcare Protection Management, and he is an active member of ASIS International, the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators, and the Southern Police Institute Alumni Association.
